Westside Housing Economic Network (WHEN)
The Choices In Learning National Foundation came to the rescue for many families in the Central Valley, an area hard hit by the drought. On behalf of Westside Housing Economic Network (WHEN), Executive Director Baldo Hernandez contacted Choices In Learning in the hopes of receiving help for repair of the community water system. WHEN needed support to keep the families in donated housing units. The families were in danger of losing housing if the final installment of repair costs was not made. If the families were dislocated, the small school serving the area would have been forced to close.
The children and their families responded with a resounding "THANK YOU!" to Choices In Learning National Foundation for their willingness to help.
